Crew Quarters

Each man's bunk had a curtain for a minimum of visual privacy, but there can have been no real peace or quiet on a sailing freighter at sea. The crew must have learnt how to sleep through the racket of sail changes and the noise of rough conditions. This table also has no fiddle which seems odd. I would bet the original had one. On the table are scattered typical detritus of working seamen -- dirty plates, a model ship, bits of knotwork and reading material.
