Steering Gear

I didn't presume to untie the lashings and open up the trunk, but did peer under it to see the massive steering gear. That's the rudder shaft rising up out of the deck and into the trunk. I'm guessing she is gear-steered with a monstrous quadrant assembly in the trunk.
