The entrance to Bodega Bay is a bit tricky. Once inside the breakwater there is a long channel with daymarks, dredged into a very shoal mud basin. W/o an engine, a full-keel boat would have a hard time getting in. The channel is narrow and attempting to tack up it would be hard work. The mud is soft and grounding would be more embarrassing than dangerous. But still...
