The view from atop Bodega Head looking SE. The Pilot advises that only those with local knowledge should try the channel between the Rock and Bodega Head. We were at low-low tide so the rock was clearly visible but one could imagine how treacherous it would be at high water and with a swell running. The conditions were unnatural -- still, calm, dry, hot, and no swell to speak of.
