Port deck

Here you see the asymmetrical hatch open. There is a "barn door" instead of hatch boards. It's currently flung all the way open to the R of the picture and retained with a small hook-latch. Note her low freeboard -- you step *across* from the dock to the deck, not up. The gate was rather nicely done, a hinged section of the teak rail with good hardware.
