Stem

We're looking at her stem from inside, where the bow comes to a point. And it looks kinda scary. The welds don't look that great in the fiddly little areas where the longitudinals come together. The black stuff I am guessing is "Stop-Rust" or something like it. Note the very ugly stuff lurking above the very short transverse member. Note this area is horribly inaccessible and significant disassembly would be needed to get real hands-on access -- I am holding the camera at arms-length and pointing it into the dark in what I hope is the right direction.
