Foremast Step

This is ugly. I had to reach the camera over the barrier and could not see w/own eyes what was what in here -- it was dark and inaccessible. From this flash pic I think we can say there are weird and ugly things happening inside the hull at the bows. It looks almost as if epoxy or resin had been poured in there (the yellowish plasticky appearance and drip marks on the mast). Note the vivid orange rusted area fwd of the mast.
