Only two of the dimensions on this drawing were measured in person -- the 8.5inch width of the rudder above water and the 62 inch drop from rudder head to the flare of the working rudder blade). The rest are done by extrapolation from this photo based on the physical measurements. My image processing s'ware guesstimates the rudder hinge angle at 80 degrees, i.e. 10 degrees off vertical, with the trailing edge of the blade vertical (perpendicular to waterline). Why the rudder head looks angled upwards in this photo I do not know -- it looked parallel to waterline in person. Some of the numbers are a bit hard to read. Below the 62 inch drop is a 48 inch drop to the trailing corner. The diagram is also available here without the photo background.
