Skeg and Rudder

No sooner is she more or less clean than Evan Shaler (builder and previous owner) and Jack Bell the mechanic have the tail shaft out, as part of my project to introduce a flexible coupling into the drive shaft (a cast iron coupling sheared last summer). The bare patches are where the pressure washer lifted old paint away. The large vertical patch is, I believe, damage from last summer's misadventure (dismasting).
