BilgeSump

We are looking down into a bilge keel sump. In this canoe-shaped keel are 1 tonne of lead, 100 gallons of water in 2 steel tanks, and two sumps like this one. This is the trailing end of the keel, which tapers to a near-point. The leading edge is semicircular for a cod's head, mackerel's tail plan view. The little bottle is a dedicated brine catcher from a drip pan below the stuffing gland. Note clean condition of sump, epoxy 2 part paint in good condition.
